The elements of the process of seed production and the technology of growing seed potatoes are optimized on the basis of seed material improved by biotechnological methods for two-crop culture under irrigation conditions in the Southern Steppe of Ukraine. Published scientific and methodological recommendations "Reproduction of seed potatoes of high categories in the irrigated conditions of the south of Ukraine with use at improvement of methods of biotechnology and two-crop culture" Three patents were issued for a useful model "Method for obtaining in vitro microtubers of early maturing potato varieties", "Method for obtaining microtubers of potatoes in vitro of mid-early and mid-season varieties", "Method for obtaining potato seed material during spring planting." To ensure a high tuberization rate of the early ripe potato variety Tiras in in vitro culture, 1-3 tiers of cuttings should be used and cultivated on a nutrient medium modified by the Institute of Potato Growing of the NAAS; medium-early variety Levada - both 1-3 and 4-6 tiers on a nutrient medium modified by the Institute of Irrigated Agriculture of the NAAS; mid-season variety Yavir - 1-3 tiers of plant cuttings in vitro on a modified nutrient medium of the Institute of Irrigated Agriculture of the NAAS. To obtain maximum productivity, the mid-season potato variety Yavir in in vitro cultivation must be carried out with a full cycle of use of the nutrient medium and the content of succinic acid in it 1.0 mg/l. The test of the preservation of seed qualities showed that the use of a two-crop cilture for obtaining certified seed material of an early-ripening potato variety Kimmeria provided a seasonal yield of 22.27-30.11 t/ha, a medium-early variety Levada of 21.07-28.11 t/ha, mid-season - Yavir 22.97-31.75 t/ha.
