The database has been supplemented with indicators of NDF, ADF, SC, NSC, hemicellulose, cellulose, lignin, sugar, starch and other carbohydrate fractions in concentrated, succulent and rough feeds. It is established that the nutritional values (feed units, ME), calculated considering the NDF, NSC, were lower by 1.5-14.0% for concentrated feed, by 1.0-1.5% for succulent feed, for roughage – by 6.0-10.0% compared with the indicators calculated taking into account crude fiber and NFE. Rations for fattening pigs, developed with the use of the improved methods of determining their nutritional value, provide an average 600-700g daily weight gain of animals, which is 5-10% higher than control at 5-6% lower feed costs per unit of production.
