It has a smaller grain and a more homogeneous structure, which increases its strength by 63%. It was found that after a single reduction of such ceramics in a mixture of N2–10% H2–5% CO2, the presence of carbon dioxide in a hydrogen-containing medium causes a decrease in strength by 15% compared to cermet 8YSZ – Ni reduced in a mixture of Ar – 5% H2. This is due to the deposition of carbon at the ZrO2 – Ni interfacial boundaries. The electrical conductivity of the cermet increases by 30%. Technological modes of obtaining ceramics of composition 50% (ZrO2 - 8 mol.% Y2O3 - 2 wt.% Al2O3) + 50% (NiO - 5 wt.% CuO) by the calcination temperature of powders (700°С) and their sintering (1400℃), which allowed to obtain a fine-grained structure and increased strength and electrical conductivity of the corresponding cermet. After reduction in the gas mixture N2–10% H2–5% CO2, it does not lose its physical and mechanical properties compared to the initial state, but requires a further increase in strength and conductivity for use as an anode material SOFC, which work, for example, on synthesis gas. There were no signs of contamination of this material with carbon compounds and no decrease in strength and electrical conductivity after its reduction at 600°C in a gas mixture of N2–10% H2–5% CO2 compared to this process in a mixture of Ar – 5% H2.
