The developed criteria were tested in laboratory conditions based on tests of pipe elements using the developed method of diagnosing pipelines, which is grounded on the phenomenon of change electrode potential of metal depending on the degree of its hydrogenation. The performed works confirmed the applicability and efficiency of the developed methods for the ground sections of pipelines for transportation of hydrogen-containing environments. The advantage is that the proposed development allows making reasonable expert conclusions about the fracture risk and safe operation of the defective pipeline element directly at the diagnostic site.
