Usikov Institute for Radiophysics and Electronics NAS of Ukraine popup.description2  The main objective of our project is to fill blank spaces within the realm of artificial structures with topological properties at microwave range and to perform intensive studies towards designing of structures suitable for the dynamical reconfiguration. The structures in question should exhibit edge-localized microwave states, especially these topologically protected, as well as give possibility to control of their properties and propagation. Firstly, we will design a microwave composite crystal where the basic element is a dot of the elliptical shape (petal-shaped dot). Secondly, based on this type of composite crystal, we are going to design microwave filters with multiple stop-bands, and to study possibilities of the ‘tunneling’ of microwaves throughout end-localized states.
