The purpose of research is to improve agro-technological methods of growing oilseed flax in the arid zone of Ukraine. Research methods - field agrotechnical research with laboratory analysis in a certified agrochemical laboratory, statistical processing of the results and economic evaluation of agronomic methods of growing crops. Basic information on the best varieties of oil flax, optimal regulations for the use of herbicides and microbiological preparations was obtained. Improved agro-technological methods of growing oilseed flax in the arid zone of Ukraine. Scientific and practical recommendations "Growing oil flax in the arid zone of the steppe of Ukraine" were prepared In the conditions of the arid steppe of Ukraine, both under irrigation and in the conditions of natural moisture, the best varieties of oil flax were the varieties Vodogray, Vira, Original, Eureka, Svitlozir and Zhyvynka. The highest level of yield under irrigation was formed by the varieties Eureka (1.69 t / ha), Vira (1.64 t / ha), Zhyvynka (1.39 t / ha), Original and Svitlozir 1.28 t / ha each. The largest profit under irrigation (6678 UAH / ha) with a profitability level of 69% provided the variety Eureka. The highest level of profitability in the conditions of natural moisture was provided by the Vodogray variety - 158%. The yield of the variety was 1.06 t / ha, the profit was 6263 UAH / ha. The effect of herbicides on the productivity of oilseed flax plants has been clarified. Agritox herbicide has been found to be the best herbicide for the crop.
