Bogatsky National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine popup.description2  Objects of study: bacillus thuringiensis protease, polyvinyl alcohol, chitosan. The aim is to study the effect of metal ions on the overall proteolytic activity of proteinase and to study the possibility of using the developed promising material with immobilized proteinase Bacillus thuringiensis for the treatment of wound disease. For the first time using the peptidase Bacillus thuringiensis var. israelensis IMV B-7465 created a biocompatible dressing of prolonged complex action with elastolytic, fibrinolytic, collagenase activities. Immobilization of the enzyme in a complex polymer matrix based on polyvinyl alcohol and chitosan, followed by fixation on cellulose (medical gauze) contributed to the stabilization of the enzyme, prolonged proteolytic action (6 h, pH 7.5, 37 oC), long-term storage (12 months, 0. -4 oC), the expansion of the activity profile at acidic (up to 35%) and alkaline (up to 32%) pH values. For the first time, the prospect of using peptidase for cleavage of a wound scab with ≈ 48% lysis depth in 24 h was shown, and the enzyme was 2.1 times more effective than papain and 10.3 times more effective than protosubtilin by acting on the scab in vitro. The developed dressing is focused on human health protection, use in military field conditions, including disaster medicine. Product Description popup.authors Dekina Svitlana S. Ryzhak Oleksandra А.
