The parameters were determined under consideration that the instantaneous luminosity of the LHCb experiment is achievable at the level of 10^33 cm^(-2)s^(-1), i.e., it is of the same order of magnitude as in a collider mode. In such a way tolerant radiation loads on the detector subsystems and LHC superconducting magnets will be assured. The stabilization of the luminosity and the safe operation of the metal fixed target mode will be carried out by a special radiation monitoring system RMS-R4, an updated version of the RMS-R3 system manufactured in the INR of the NAS of Ukraine and designed for monitoring the intensity of beam’s nuclei interactions and its background from LHC collimators. The first studies of the sensitivity of the cross-sections of neutral strange hadrons generation to the multiplicity of physical events reconstructed from proton-lead collisions at 8 TeV (nucleon-nucleon CM frame) were performed. The modification of the transverse momentum distributions of the hadrons is observed selecting high-multiplicity events within a forward geometry. The results suggest that it could be caused by their production from the high-temperature and high-density bulk of the nuclear matter.
