The main crystalochemical properties and morphology of nanoparticles were studied by X-ray diffraction and TEM methods. It was found that the degree of crystallinity and the size of CeO2 nanoparticles depend on the synthesis conditions, in particular on the dielectric constant of the synthesis medium. All synthesized CeO2 nanoparticles are characterized by high positive values ​​of zeta potential, which indicates their stability in aqueous suspensions.
