Weed control systems in chickpea and lentil have been theoretically substantiated, developed and implemented. Chickpea in the years of research had a mixed type of weeding. Among the species, dicotyledonous weeds predominated (74-77%): white quinoa Chenopodium album L., Polygonum lapathifolium, Galinsoga parviflora Cav., Matricaria inodora L., Amaranthus retroflexus L., other weeds monocotyledons: Echinochloa crus-galli L., Setaria glauca L. Pre-emergence herbicides application of stomp, 33% k.e. (4.0 l/ha); frontier optima, 72% k.e. (1.0 l/ha); artist, 41.5% (2,0-2,5 kg/ha) provided a reduction in the level of weediness of crops by 88-93%. The preserved yield of chickpea grain on average for 2019-2020 was in the range of 0,66-2,27 c/ha, which is 6,0-25,1% more than in the control without herbicides. In lentil pre-emergence application of herbicides stomp, 33% k.e. (4.0 l/ha); dual gold 960 e.s. (1.6 l/ha); proponite, 720 k.e. (2.0 l/ha) helped reduce weeds by 88-93%. Before the application of post-emergence herbicides, the crops had a mixed type of weeding, the number of weeds was in the range of 111-117 pieces/m2. Herbicides such as pulsar, 4% .v.r. (0.8 l/ha); pivot, 19% v.r.k. (0.8 l/ha); zenkor, 70 WG, v.g. (0.5 kg/ha); proponite, 720 k.e. (2.0 l/ha) provided a level of weed control in the range of 88-93%. The yield of lentil grain depended mainly on the selectivity and effectiveness of herbicides and it was higher by 1,88-2,16 c/ha compared to control areas in the experimental variants, where soil herbicides were used.
