According to deprimating action in dose 1/80 LD50 new BAS were ordered as follow: stancocit  stanmacit  hercocit  hermacit. The assumed mechanism of neurotropic action of germanates is GABA-mimetic activity. The most prominent anti-staphylococcal activity had cobalt-containing compounds (hercocit and stancocit). Cobalt-containing compounds exhibited the strongest activity against virus of human flu A/Honkong/1/68 (H3N2) and A/PR/8/34 (H1N1) as well as virus of bird flu H5N5 comparatively to other BAS.
