Aim of study: to conduct a comprehensive agrochemical assessment of organic fertilizers based on waste from biogas plants, determine their suitability for use in organic agriculture in order to reproduce soil fertility of agrocenoses and develop recommendations for the use of digestates in agrocenoses in organic production. Research methods: in the process of performing the work, generally accepted research methods were used: laboratory, mathematical methods, comparative and calculation. Established, that the peculiarity of the properties of digestates as fertilizers is the alkaline reaction of the environment and a significant content of basic nutrients with a predominance of nitrogen over other elements (N: P: K - 1: 0.2-0.47: 0.16-0, 27). Agrochemical examination of the chemical composition of digestates and their by-product (liquid fraction) showed a high content of nutrients in them, which makes it possible to use them as fertilizers in organic agriculture, provided that the content of heavy metals and microelements is controlled. Recommendations for the use of digestates in agrocenoses in organic production have been developed, which indicate the need for agrochemical examination of such fertilizers in order to establish application doses, as the content of basic nutrients even with the same input substances has a significant variation.
