A study was conducted on the chemical composition of the mineral part and toxic trace elements of ash and slag waste of some solid fuel thermal power plants and thermal power plants formed during coal combustion. Peculiarities of pollutant transfer in the zone of influence of fuel and energy enterprises are established, which provides the possibility of mathematical modeling of pollutant migration in soils and in the surface air layer of ash and slag dumps. A number of mathematical and software tools for studying the process of migration of pollutants within the areas of ash and slag dumps and adjacent areas are proposed and analyzed. The results of the study of the environment of the ash and slag dump of Darnytska CHP are shown and the modeling of the impact of this ash and slag dump on the state of air pollution of the adjacent territories is carried out.
