The RUNX3 gene showed a 7-fold increase in RNA levels in tumors than in control tissues, which correlated with an increase in protein content in the test samples. For CHI3L1, ERVW-1 and TSC22D1 genes, clinical and cell line samples showed no clear correlation of expression at RNA and protein levels and, in part, DNA methylation, indicating additional mechanisms and levels of regulation of these genes.
