Thirty species of helminths, including one species of monogens, 9 species of trematodes, 4 species of cestodes, 5 species of nematodes and 11 species of acanthocephalans, were found in six species of bony fishes near to the Ukrainian Antarctic Station "Akademik Vernadsky" in 2019-2020. Prevalence of fish infection with helminths was 100%. The largest species diversity of helminth communities was found in Antarctic dragonfish Parachaenichthys charcoti (26 species), blackfin icefish Chaenocephalus aceratus (23 species) and rockcod Notothenia coriiceps (22 species). Analysis of the component helminth community of N. coriiceps showed the impoverishment of the species richness of these helminth in the sample of 2019–2020 compared to 2014–2015. The largest contribution to the difference between the helminth communities was observed for the following taxa: Corynosoma spp. (14%), Macvicaria georgiana (13%), Diphyllobothrium sp. (10%), Pseudoterranova sp. (9%), Contracaecum sp. (9%), Methacanthocephalus johnstoni (9%) and M. rennicki (8%). These seven helminth species of can be considered as potential indicator-species that for future monitoring studies of ecological changes in the marine ecosystems of the Argentine Islands, West Antarctica.
