The purpose of the work is to develop conceptual provisions, methods, models and mechanisms that form the basis for the implementation of the system of environmental safety of critical infrastructure of Kyiv.  Research methods. Fundamental provisions for managing risks, hazards, threats and environmental safety. The paper also uses: methodological approaches to systems theory and systems analysis; methods of expert evaluation for quantitative evaluation of certain criteria; means of mathematical modeling; elements of graph theory; methods of computer programming tools. Results of works: the analysis of a modern condition, domestic and international experience of concepts of protection of a critical infrastructure against natural and technogenic dangers is carried out; the identification of critical infrastructure objects was carried out and the main man-caused and natural threats that occur for critical infrastructure objects located in Kyiv were identified; a creative model of the mechanism of ensuring the ecological safety of critical infrastructure facilities in Kyiv was built; developed criteria for environmental impact assessment, method and algorithm for implementing the method of environmental impact assessment in the construction, reconstruction and operation of critical infrastructure;created a software package based on the Java programming language, which allowed to assess the level of environmental hazard of the gas station in Kiev; suggested ways to increase the level of environmental safety of critical infrastructure in Kyiv.
