To allocate and transfer to the state variety trial a new type of winter rye with a potential yield of 7,0-8,0 t/ha, resistant to lodging, with a complex resistance to the damage to pathogens of diseases, with high frost resistance and grain quality; with a high-performance 3-flower ear. Research methods. The processing of breeding material was carried out according to the complete scheme of selection process. The obtained yield indices of breeding samples and varieties were processed by methods of variation statistics. The analysis of the quality indices of the seeds was determined on the Infratec 1241. Research results and their novelty. A new variety of rye Levitan has been passed into the State Register of Plant Varieties of Ukraine.
