The purpose of the work is to enrich the genetic diversity of lupine by attracting samples of domestic and foreign origin, studying them in the left-bank Polissya of Ukraine and selecting the most valuable forms, forming and registering a working collection for effective use in breeding programs of sources of economic useful traits. Research methods - field, laboratory and methods of mathematical statistics. Collection samples of lupine were studied and sources with signs of early maturity, high productivity, resistance to diseases and other economically valuable traits for selection of fodder lupine were identified. According to the results of research conducted in 2019-2020, a working collection of the lupine gene pool was created, which contains sources of useful traits that are selected in accordance with the conditions of the Polissya zone of Ukraine and modern areas of selection of this culture. This collection includes 95 samples of lupine. Six valuable collection samples of lupine, which are characterized by a set of the best economic features, have been selected and will be submitted for registration to the National Center for Genetic Resources of Plants of Ukraine. Gene pool certification works were carried out, the genetic diversity of the collection was enriched by introducing new specimens and the seeds of lupine collection specimens were propagated for transfer to the National Storage of the NCGRPU for long-term preservation in viable condition.
