Based on the Geant4 software package, a spectrum modeling program has been written that allows users to specify the characteristics of the detector and the radioactive source. The computer model of the detector is as close as possible to a real spectrometric device. A spectrum reconstruction program has been developed, namely the determination of the isotopic composition of radioactive sources. It is based on the LASSO regularization technique. A database of spectral signatures based on model radiation spectra from 137Cs, 90Sr, 40K, 131I and 60Co has been created. The resulting database is used as input in the nuclide identification program. A two-layer neural network of direct propagation was also constructed. Five nuclides were selected for identification, including 57Co, 137Cs, 131I, 133Ba and 241Am. The spectrum reconstruction program using artificial neural networks was verified using experimental spectra. The experimental emission spectra of exemplary radioactive sources 137Cs and 52Eu, which were obtained on an experimental stand using a CsI (Tl) detector, were used.
