(Carpathian ridge, Galindez Island, Antarctica), 23 strains of actinomycetes were isolated, which according to the analysis of 16S rRNA gene sequences were assigned to the genera Micromonospora, Streptomyces, Kribbella, Micrococcus. Their morphological and cultural features are described. The temperature optimum for the growth of most isolates ranged from 28-37 ºC. Strains capable of growing at 4 ºС and 45 ºС were found. The ratio to the pH of the isolated strains ranged from 6 to 8. Two strains of streptomycetes (67-13 and 67-15) showed growth on media with pH 4-12. The maximum concentration of NaCl, at which several strains of Micromonospa spp. and Streptomyces spp. could grow, reached 7.5%. Two strains of Streptomyces sp. Psp 67-27 and Psp 67-28 produced melanoid pigments. The isolated strains showed a wide range of enzymatic activities. Almost 80% showed antagonistic properties to at least one test culture. However, the studied actinomycetes did not have a wide range of antimicrobial activity. The growth of the largest number of test cultures (7 strains of bacteria and fungi) was delayed by the strain Streptomyces sp. Psp 67-19. According to the results of PCR screening in the genomes of the studied isolates found genes that encode a wide range of enzymes or enzyme complexes involved in the synthesis of many antibiotics. The spectrum of resistance to 25 antibiotics of different mechanism of action was studied. Isolates had individual spectra. As a result of dereplicative analysis in the extract of the strain Streptomyces sp. Psp 67-19, which showed the widest spectrum of antimicrobial activity, identified antibiotics antimycin A1, A3 and A10, cyclic octapeptides surugamides A and D, as well as three potentially new compounds with a mass of m / z 534.3063 [M + H] + and the compound with a mass of m / z 282.2803 [M + H] +.
