The purpose of the work was to characterize the physico-chemical and functional properties of metal oxide-surfactant composite materials. Research methods – scanning electron microscopy, X-Ray powder diffraction, microanalysis and photoelectron spectroscopy, high performance liquid chromatography. A set of new experimental data concerning the influence of synthesis conditions on the physico-chemical properties of metal oxide-surfactant nanocomposite materials, in particular on the phase composition, crystallographic orientation, morphology, hydrophilic-hydrophobic surface properties, was obtained. The general regularities of electrochemical processes on nanostructured metal oxide-surfactant composite materials of different chemical composition were investigated. Correlation parameters have been identified that establish the relationship between the conditions of synthesis of materials, their physicochemical and functional properties. Recommendations for the principles of controlled synthesis of nanostructured materials metal oxide-surfactant and metal oxide-polyelectrolyte with predicted composition, physico-chemical and functional properties were created.
