V. Ya. Yuriev popup.description2 Study Object – process of spring triticale breeding. Purpose – development of spring triticale lines and varieties with high grain yield, adaptability and technological quality. Methods – breeding: hybridization, selection; analysis: ontogenetic, laboratory, mathematical and statistical. Theoretical and Practical Results - Hybridization designs and cross combinations providing breeding material with high productivity, resistance to bio- and abiotic factors have been outlined. Two spring triticale varieties, which are characterized by high abiotic adaptability and yield capacity, have been developed and submitted for the state registration. Spring grain triticale variety Kripost Kharkivska is highly resistant to lodging (9 score), resistant to pathogens (7-8 points) and drought (7-8 points). The average yield is 4.32 t/ha. The potential yield is 8.5 t/ha. Spring triticale variety Opora Kharkivska shows an increased lodging resistance (8 points). The average yield is 4.49 t/ha. The total bread-making index is 7.5 – 8.0. Twelve breeding lines, which are of complex value, have been produced. These lines are sources of lodging resistance and high grain yield capacity. Novelty - New varieties have no analogues in terms of combination of agricultural characteristics: high yield capacity, lodging resistance, cold tolerance. Their yields are higher than those from registered varieties. Implementation efficiency - Increased adaptability of varieties will contribute to expansion and rationalization of agricultural area using and to stabilization of the grain production in Ukraine. Scope – agricultural producers, breeding institutions. Product Description popup.authors Kapustina Tetiana B. Melnyk Vira S. Chernobai Serhii V. Shchechenko Olha Ye. popup.nrat_date 2021-03-17 Close
