Technologies for light protection of cotton knitted fabrics, dyed with active dyes and treated with test substances, have been developed. The influence of chemical properties and concentration of active and acid dyes on the nature and kinetics of photodestruction of dyes obtained on cotton and woolen knitted fabrics has been studied. Scientific novelty and significance of the kept scientific results: - the mechanism of increase of light resistance of the dyed cotton jersey which is based on a purposeful choice of light stabilizers is scientifically substantiated; - taking into account the two-stage mechanism of photodestruction of dyed knitted fabrics made of natural fibers and the proposed classification of light stabilizers, the expediency of simultaneous use of UV absorbers and antioxidants as light stabilizers of dyed cotton knitwear has been proved.
