The aim of the work is to select the conditions for regeneration of spelt and bread wheat plants from apical meristems of shoots and to select the most promising genotypes with high regenerative capacity. The following set of works was carried out: selection of media for efficient regeneration of Triticum aestivum L. plants: MSR4, MSR4 supplemented with 25 mg/l of ceftriaxone and hormone-free MS medium supplemented with AgNO3 (10 mg/l) and ceftriaxone; selected wheat genotypes with high regenerative capacity: plants of Podolyanka, Zimoyarka and Yatran 60 cultivars. The technology of obtaining biotechnological spelt plants from apical meristems of shoots has been developed. Namely: introduction into aseptic culture, callus induction from explants, plant morphogenesis, rooting and cultivation of regenerants in containers, transfer in vivo and seed production. Among the four genotypes of spelt (845, 851, 853 and 856), the highest regenerative capacity is inherent in genotype 853. The RZ2 medium, hormone-free MS, MSBA and MSR were tested to obtain spelt regenerants. The highest regeneration rate was observed on MSR medium.
