V. Ya. Yuriev popup.description2 Study Object: winter rye. Purpose: to determine the green mass yield, theoretical yield of biogas in winter rye varieties and hybrids sown at various seeding rates, to assess the influence of weather during the vegetation on the biomass yield. To develop a method of reproduction of parents of experimental hybrids and lines - sterility fixers. Methods: field and laboratory methods, processing and analysis of the obtained data. Technique: the main method in breeding is multi-stage hybridization with donors of economically valuable traits and subsequent individual/family selection, with due account for combining ability. Breeding is only conducted on a short-stem starting material. The optimal height of plants is 100-130 cm. To create such varieties and hybrids, short-stem donors with recessive polygenic and dominant monogenic inheritance of the trait are used. Transmission of low height and other valuable traits is carried out by saturating crosses with subsequent homozygotization and selection. Practical results. In 2016 - 2020, new starting material was created and investigated. Valuable high-performance lines (95 - 202 ChS, 94 - 2098 ChS, 97 - 956 ChS, 96 - 4027 ChS, 01 - 1201 ZS, 262 ZS) were selected. Winter rye varieties Aivenho, Pamiati Derevianko, and Voloshka, F1 hybrids Arey and Bios were created and submitted to the state qualificating examination. Variety Kalipso, F1 hybrid Khanter, and the parent component l.063491 B were included in The State Register of Plant Varieties Suitable for Dissemination in Ukraine. All the products are protected by patents for plant varieties. Methodical recommendations "Growing of Hybrid Winter Rye Seeds" have been developed. The created varieties and hybrids meet the requirements of production and are superior to domestic counterparts. During the five years, farms of different forms of ownership bought 443.45 tons of seeds for the total sum of 5,437,780 UAH Product Description popup.authors Demianenko Svitlana B. Dryl Valentyna P.
