The aim of the project: development and production of a prototype of detection and acoustic localization of AC noise sources, aviation air conditioning system (ACS). Research methods: analytical modeling and experimental studies of the localization of aerodynamic noise sources. Equipment: reverberation chamber, condenser microphones, preamplifiers, reference sound source, pistonphone. Theoretical results. The method of passive acoustic localization of noise sources is developed, the influence of microphone placement error on the error of sound sources’ localization is investigated. Optimal configurations of microphone antennas have been developed. Dependences of spectrum of the sound pressure levels of the leakage noise on the size of the hole and the distance from the hole are established. A spectral-correlation signal processing method has been developed in order to construct the acoustic image of the aircraft. Practical results. Experimental verification of the operation of the elements of the prototype of the device for detection and localization of noise sources of AC on the example of air leakage noise from the elements of the ACS of the AC. A method of using an acoustic diagnostics device (ADD) for diagnostics of the condition of ACS and AC has been developed. Requirements specification for the production of a sample of ADD have been developed. A prototype of ADD was made. Novelty. For the first time, a method was developed to localize air leakage in the elements of ACS and AC for use in the conditions of serial production of aircraft and in the conditions of operation. A new method is proposed for optimizing the placement of microphones in an acoustic antenna to reduce the localization error of air leakage sources.
