In Ukraine, there is a high frequency of registration of occupational cancers: head and neck, bronchi and lungs; skin; kidneys and bladder; leukemias and non-Hodgkin's lymphoma. The program of screening and early diagnosis of cancer in workers of carcinogenic and hazardous industries during their medical examinations, based on modern evidence, has been scientifically substantiated. The pilot implementation evaluated the effectiveness of the developed program of screening and early diagnosis of cancer in workers of carcinogenic industries. It was determined that there was a positive change in the indicators of the effectiveness of screening and early diagnosis of cancer (according to WHO criteria), namely (compared to baseline): increasing the coverage of the target group by the program of early diagnosis; providing the necessary diagnostic tests for high-risk individuals; improving the referral of people with suspected and existing cancer for additional examinations and consultations; meeting the training needs of staff involved in the implementation of medical examinations; increasing awareness of employees about the risks of occurrence and early signs of cancer; strengthening control over dynamic medical (dispensary) monitoring of employees at high risk of cancer.
