The low level of genetic polymorphism of C. quitensis in the studied region was shown. The results of the analysis of the polymorphism of the length of the first intron of the β-tubulin genes indicate that among the studied populations of the C. quitensis , populations with o. Perez, Fr. Darbo and part of the population samples from Fr. Barcelot. This may be due to changes in the conditions of existence of populations, because these islands are located slightly away from other locations involved in the study. Using the analysis of the second intron length polymorphism of β-tubulin genes, individual genotypes were identified within the majority of colobanthus populations (in 7 of the 11 studied). In general, the results of research indicate the effectiveness and feasibility of using a polymorphism of the intron length of β-tubulin genes in molecular genetic studies of different ecotypes of C. quitensis .
