Valiavko, samples of oxidized iron ores of Ingulets deposit, synthetic iron oxides and hydroxides (magnetite, hematite, goethite, lepidocrocite). Mineralogical characteristics of samples from the created collection were determined. It was shown, that the main minerals of ores of Erystivsky, Bilanivsky, Poltava, Gleevatsky and Artemivsky deposits are magnetite and quartz. The main difference of the samples of Artemivsky deposit is the presence of maghemite. Iron ore-containing talc (Minnesotaite) was detected in the samples for the first time. The main minerals of the ores of the Ingulets deposit, as well as samples of man-made iron ore raw materials are hematite and quartz. Express methods for determining of the magnetic properties of minerals based on the determination of the "magnetic weight" of the sample have been developed.
