The main goal is to study the interaction of a pulsed supersonic jet with a stationary medium in limited volumes of arbitrary shape using methods of direct numerical simulation of nonstationary turbulent flows of a viscous compressible fluid, as well as verification of theoretical results by experimental studies. The research method is a physical and numerical experiment. The relevance is due to the wide range of uses of equipment and devices that use the effects of ejection in the interaction of supersonic jets with the subsonic environment. The content of the work is to study the influence of the geometry of supersonic pulse ejectors on the ability to maintain their ejection properties with increasing back pressure. The method and algorithms for calculating the nonstationary three-dimensional supersonic flow in a limited volume were adapted to determine the characteristics of transonic viscous compressible flows without allocating density jumps. The ratio of the jet pulse, the parameters of the nozzle and the amount of ambient gas captured by the jet was determined, depending on the geometry of the limited volume and the increase in pressure in it. Based on the obtained results of numerical modeling, the geometries of modified ejectors capable of maintaining ejection properties at significant back pressure were determined, which will be used to make test models and conduct experimental research in the laboratory of the Institute of Hydromechanics of NAS of Ukraine.
