CULTURAL HERITAGE, MUSEUM ARCHIVES, INFORMATION SYSTEMS, CHERNOBYL DISASTER The object of research is a regional complex of museum and archival resources of ethnocultural heritage of the population of Ukrainian Polissya affected by the Chernobyl disaster. The purpose of the work is to solve the problem of preserving the saved part of the cultural heritage of the region affected by the Chernobyl disaster and to provide access to it. It is planned to develop the concept of the Chernobyl Scientific Information Fund as a tool for saving, preserving and updating the traditional culture of Ukrainian Polissya and the source base of research in a wide range of scientific fields and areas. It is important to create a prototype of a unified archival information retrieval system as one of the basic elements of the integrated information system of the Chernobyl Scientific Information Fund. Research methods are systematic analysis of archival and museum information resources, information approach to the problem of cultural heritage preservation, interdisciplinary approach to the task of creating the Chernobyl Scientific Information Fund, comparative analysis and synthesis in the development of audiovisual ethnographic documents and accounting documents, modern methods of database construction for information retrieval system. Based on the analysis of the state of preservation of traditional cultural heritage and ways to solve it in Ukraine and the world, a new approach is proposed, which consists in creating a regional museum-archival resource center based on integrated use of modern information archival, museum and information-communication technologies.
