It was found that in 83.4% of households for the prevention of viral pneumoenteritis use specific prophylaxis against IBR, VD, PI-3 and RSI in the form of combined drugs, 80% of which contained live attenuated strains of viruses. Despite the high level of humoral immune response in animals from the surveyed farms, 66.7% of them registered signs of animal disease with respiratory or diarrheal syndromes. Pathogens of infectious pneumoenteritis were found in animals from most farms, regardless of whether they used specific prophylaxis or not. The difference was only in the clinical manifestation of respiratory or diarrheal syndromes. Strains of IBR and PI-3 pathogens were isolated and identified from biological material from animals with pneumoenteritis. After adaptation to transplanted cell cultures, their biological properties were studied in vivo and in vitro. It was determined that the circulation in the cattle herd of leukemia virus at the initial stage did not have a significant impact on the spread of viruses IBR, VD and PI-3 among animals, as well as on the effectiveness of specific prevention of pneumoenteritis in farms. According to the results of biochemical studies, preliminary data were obtained that BLV in animals leads to minor changes in metabolic parameters in animals, which do not play a key role in the development of immunosuppressive status in animals, and as a consequence, the possibility of complicating the epizootic situation. Based on the results of this work, the "Concept of control of viral pneumoenteritis of cattle" was prepared, which contains data on the peculiarities of the circulation of pathogens of pneumoenteritis of viral etiology in Ukrainian farms and possible ways to combat them.
