 Ceramics is one of the important historical sources, the development of which allows us to answer many questions that, at first glance, do not relate to pottery. The purpose of the departmental scientific ceramics topic is the study of pottery as a determining factor in the study of worldview, practical knowledge and skills of the ancient population of Ukraine in the first millennium BC. - XVIII century. This will allow the use of research results in modern scientific, museum-exhibition, art and art-educational practice. The key principle of the research is the complex nature of scientific studies, involvement in the analysis of pottery heritage of the widest possible range of various ceramic sources and special methods of research of ceramics.
