Information × Registration Number 0221U100918, 0116U000236 , R & D reports Title To study the genetic and molecular biological properties of pathogens American and European foul brood bees considering eco-geographical factors popup.stage_title Head Maslii Iryna H, Registration Date 11-01-2021 Organization National Scientific Center Institute of Experimental and Clinical Medicine popup.description2  In the process of researching 1456 samples of pathological material from 18 regions of Ukraine, it was established that the proportion of foulbrood in 2016 was 18,6 %, and the incidence rate was 31,30 %; in 2017 31,0 % and 37,50 %; in 2018 17,0 % and 22,14 %; in 2019 37,3 % and 0,11 %; in 2020, 37,03 % and 0,32 %, respectively. The presence of the pathogen P. larvae was established in 68 samples (42,7 %), M. pluton - in 80 (50,5 %) samples of pathological material, P. alvei – in 10 samples (6,2 %), Str. apis. – 1 isolate (0,6 %). Worked out procedure for setting up PCR for P. larvae and M. pluton pathogens. According to the results of studies of pathological material in PCR, 42 samples were positive, M. pluton in 28 samples (66,61 %), P. larvae - in 14 samples (33,3 %). The results obtained form the basis for the Concept of diagnostics and control of bacterial diseases of bee brood based on PCR. The essence of the concept is to improve the system of epizootic monitoring of foulbrood diseases in bees and the introduction of domestic means of classical and molecular diagnostics in accordance with the requirements of the EU and the OIE.
