Study objective is to develop theoretical and applied principles of functioning and development of counselling on the example of the Region of Chernihiv. Methods: monographic; systemic analysis; abstract-logical; expert evaluation; calculation and design; sociological survey. According to the developed questionnaire, a survey of farmers in the Region of Chernihiv was conducted, and their needs for counselling services were identified. Theoretical and applied bases of development of counselling were substantiated. Testing of applied principles for providing counselling services on the example of farms of crop and livestock production areas was performed. The most effective tools for providing counselling services have been identified. Based on the results of the studies performed, a conceptual diagram of the process of counselling support for expanding new knowledge has been developed. Scientific and practical guidelines “Theoretical and applied principles of functioning and development of counselling (on the example of the Region of Chernihiv)”were prepared. The application of the developed provisions allows more complete and concrete identification of the needs of agricultural producers in counselling services and it also allows higher-quality selection of forms and tools for their provision.
