The purpose of work is creation of technology and a design of the sewage distiller capable to function in the conditions of weightlessness. The treatment of sewage from human life is very important for the success of long flights to the moon and Mars and the work of teams of astronauts, both on these space objects and on the International Space Station (ISS). The team of engineers and researchers from "Thermodistillation Co" ("TD" Co), KPI. Igor Sikorsky and the Institute of Thermoelectricity of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine and the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine developed a wastewater treatment system by multistage centrifugal vacuum distillation (CVD) using a thermoelectric heat pump (THP) as a heat source. Its use can significantly reduce the energy costs of the system, which makes such a system competitive among similar space water purification systems. The report describes the main results of the development and testing of a multistage centrifugal vacuum distillation (VD) system with a thermoelectric heat pump (THP). The basic information on the integral characteristics of the system, namely: productivity of the distillate, specific energy consumption per unit mass of the distillate and the quality of the distillate by evaporation (concentration) of aqueous NaCl solution, urine and mixtures - urine with condensate, urine with condensate. According to the results of chemical analysis, the distillate as a product of urine processing meets the requirements of the manufacturer of space equipment.
