Thus, the purpose of the work is to develop theoretical and methodological measures and substantiate the main directions of ensuring the innovative development of the agricultural sector of the economy and the countryside. The theoretical and methodological basis of the study was the dialectical method of cognition, the fundamental provisions of the economic theory of cognition of economic processes. A systematic approach to the study of economic phenomena was used during the research. Among the special economic research methods used economic-statistical (index, comparative analysis, time series and distribution) and economic-mathematical methods, which conducted a comprehensive assessment of the efficiency of agricultural enterprises, economic forecasting of agricultural profitability. A graphical method was used to display the results of the study. The main indicators of scientific results. The results of scientific research during 2016-2020. are reflected in 31 monographs, 32 textbooks, manuals and 2264 (2016-518, 2017-392, 2018-328, 2019-466, 2020-560) articles in scientific journals, of which: 32 articles, indexed in the international scientometric database Scopus and 36 - Web of science (4 of which have been submitted for printing). The relevance of scientific research of our scientists is evidenced by 6 patents and 8 certificates of copyright registration, which were obtained by scientists of the Faculty of Economics of LNAU in 2016-2020. According to the results of scientific research, scientists of the Faculty of Economics defended 4 doctoral and 21 candidate dissertations.
