ZI Nekrasov of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine popup.description2 The purpose of the work is to identify patterns and features of the above processes to determine the impact of factors that were not previously considered, but are important for the effectiveness of additives used, improve gas removal conditions and reduce the cost of steel production. Using the software product, the duration of melting and assimilation of lump additives of ferroalloys when introduced into the filling ladle, depending on the duration of the release of metal from the electric arc furnace and the place of their introduction, taking into account the presence of slag layer and asymmetric metal in a ladle. The influence of the portion parameter of the introduced additive on the efficiency of its use is established. Cold physical modeling of the mixing conditions of the filled bucket bath during bottom purging and taking into account the presence of surface slag revealed a functional dependence of the electrical conductivity of the air-hydrogen solution between the obtained data with slag and without it. The study of melting pieces of ice acetic acid did not reveal a difference in the duration of this process depending on the flow of air for blowing the ladle. The composition of non-standard ferroalloy with improved technological properties is determined and the efficiency of its use in steel production is experimentally estimated. Mathematical models have been developed and the processes of removal of hydrogen and nitrogen from the metal melt during degassing in a ladle have been investigated using them. Rational consumption of argon for degassing of metal in a bucket with a capacity of 60 t (up to 50 l/min) is determined.
