The purpose of the study: to develop and optimize screening programs for early diagnosis and prevention of cardiovascular and metabolic disorders in children based on the assessment of their physical and psychosocial health and clinical and laboratory indicators. Research methods: clinical (collection of complaints and anamnesis, objective examination, anthropometry, determination of blood pressure by single measurement); laboratory (general blood analysis, general urine analysis, biochemical blood test, lipid profile, C-peptide, IGF-1, glucose tolerance test, HOMA-index, 25(OH)-D3, parathyroid hormone, thyroid-stimulating hormone, triiodothyronine free, thyroxine free, cortisol level in daily urine); instrumental (electrocardiography, echocardiography, Holter ECG-monitoring, daily blood pressure monitoring); socio-psychological (questionnaire questionnaire CHQ-PF50); mathematical and statistical. Overweight and obesity was registered in (17.2±1.8)% of school-age children and are twice as common in boys as in girls. Hypodynamia and eating disorders were more prevalent among overweight and obese children. Overweight children has significantly low rate of daily moderate or intense physical activity with the duration at least 60 minutes during week, as well as an increase in the duration of "screen" time on weekdays and weekends compared to peers with normal body weight. The prevalence of hypertension was 13.3-1318.5% among Ukrainian children aged 10–17 years, depending on the European or American criteria.
