The aim of the work is to investigate the peculiarities of the biological transformation processes of nitrogen and carbon compounds in agrocenoses during the cultivation of crops under different fertilization systems. Research methods: field (stationary experiment), laboratory (gas chromatographic determination the activity of nitrogen fixation processes, N2O and CO2 emissions), statistical). The process intensity parameters of biological transformation of nitrogen and carbon compounds in agrocenoses depend on the fertilization systems of agricultural crops. According to the research results, a model for optimization of nitrogen fertilizer of agricultural crops by comparing the indicators of nitrogen fixation productivity and nitrogen emission losses in the form of N2O is proposed. Developed the method for determining the indices "mineralization-synthesis" of organic matter in the soil, which is based on gas chromatographic determination of N2O and CO2 emissions and comparison the data with the indicators of the reference soil (virgin, fallow). Using the method the direction of the processes mineralization-synthesis of organic matter in leached chernozem depending on the fertilizer systems of agricultural crops is determined. Organic fertilizers (manure, intermediate lupine green manure) are of exceptional importance for synthetic processes in the soil. When using them the studied processes are close to the indicators of fallow. Application of mineral fertilizers to the soil without providing it with fresh organic matter leads to the dominance of mineralization processes.
