Object of research: the process of using cloud-based open science systems in educational institutions. Objective: to theoretically substantiate and develop a model of using cloud-based systems of open science in teaching and professional development of teachers, appropriate methods of its implementation and to experimentally test their effectiveness. Research methods: theoretical (analysis of psychological and pedagogical theories and concepts on the research problem, comparison of domestic and foreign approaches to the organization of training and research using cloud computing services, systematization and generalization of theoretical and experimental data); empirical (experimental study of the use of cloud services in institutions of higher pedagogical education of Ukraine, expert evaluation of survey results, observation of initial activities with the use of cloud technologies in educational and scientific activities). The main results obtained during the first (analytical and ascertaining) stage of the study are as follows: 1. The conceptual apparatus is defined, the maintenance of the basic concepts concerning use of cloud-oriented methodical systems in the course of preparation of teachers of natural and mathematical subjects for work in scientific lyceum is specified. 2. The state of development of the research problem in domestic and foreign educational space is determined.
