It was found that intensive removal of the aboveground mass (5-6 mowings) leads to the occurrence of pasture digression and a decrease in the biodiversity of vegetation, a simplification of the tier structure, a negative ratio of agrobotanical groups of herbage and a decrease in the balance of forages in terms of basic nutrients. The pastoral regime leads to xerophytization of vegetation and a decrease in herbage productivity. Reducing the anthropogenic load (2-3 mowings per season) promotes progressive type regenerative succession - demutation swards. An environmentally friendly technology for the reconstruction of degraded natural forage lands has been developed (scientific and methodological recommendations).
