Surveying support of mining operations in the development of mineral deposits in an open way. Purpose. To develop an effective method of surveying deep iron ore quarries. Research method. Theoretical substantiation of effective technique based on the analysis of alternative methods of surveying, with use of theoretical generalizations and practical research of survey works; definition of mining and geometrical parameters of iron ore deposits and forecasting and management of qualitative indicators at their development. The method of shooting objects of mining enterprises with the help of an unmanned aerial vehicle and a digital camera installed on it is given. The definition of the elements of the internal orientation of the camera and the influence of the accuracy of their determination on the accuracy of the survey plan obtained as a result of the survey are studied. The issue of obtaining a high-quality image has been studied. An effective method of combining images when making plans is proposed. The issue of obtaining high-quality cartographic material created by the results of shooting with digital cameras installed on unmanned aerial vehicles has been studied. An effective method of software processing of survey results is proposed, which meets the requirements of the relevant instructions. The paper considers the mining and geometric parameters of iron ore deposits and effective methods for their determination, forecasting and management of quality indicators of minerals are considered.
