Created PHSC gave the opportunity to develop new methods of control and increase the reliability and service life of metal-composite joints and composite elements of aerospace structures. In particular, a method for detecting defects in composite structures was developed, which made it possible to detect subsurface defects in layered composites from dynamic speckle images, a calculated method for determining allowable crushing stresses in multi-row bolted joints "composite-metal", a method for predicting maximum allowable working pressure. fuel tank of the launch vehicle based on the energy approach, the method of measuring deflections and deformations of reinforced concrete structures, as well as work on experimental and industrial verification of methods for determining the distribution of surface deformations in the adhesive joint of composite tape with reinforced concrete beam block and assessing stiffness composite-composite joints in building structures.
