The object of the research is the development process of the timber industry complex in Ukraine. The subject of the research is theoretical and methodological aspects and methodological provisions for the formation of strategic priorities for the development of the timber industry complex of Ukraine. The purpose of the study is to develop theoretical and methodological support for the substantiation and selection of priority directions for the development of the timber industry complex in Ukraine. The concept of formation of strategic priorities for the development of the timber industry complex of Ukraine is proposed. A structural-logical model for choosing strategic priorities for the development of the forestry industry in Ukraine has been developed. A methodological approach to assessing the state of forestry and logging in Ukraine and countries of the world is proposed. Methodological guidelines for assessing the progressive structure of the timber industry complex in Ukraine and the countries of the world have been developed, based on the classification of its production and technological redistributions by gross value added. A methodological approach to assessing the competitiveness of manufacturing products of the timber industry complex in Ukraine and the countries of the world in general and individual foreign economic activities has been developed.
