Modern germanium gamma detector, a high-tech device, extremely accurate, difficult to maintain and repair, and therefore quite expensive. One of the most common germanium detector failures is pre-amplifier failure. The reasons for this can be various: abrupt change of high voltage, the difference in the power supply of the preamplifier, condensation of moisture on the cryostat, and the board of the preamplifier… The difficulty of repairing such preamplifiers is due to the fact that: each manufacturer has several models of preamplifiers, which are not interchangeable and consist of a large number of unique discrete electronic components that are difficult to find, board size and location of connectors on the cryostat. non-standardized, modern OCG detectors are equipped with digital modules, which further complicate the use of previous third-party amplifiers. The price of the new preamplifier is at least UAH 150,000. On average, 5 to 10 such preamplifiers fail in Ukraine per year. Therefore, the development of a preamplifier that can work with germanium gamma detectors from all well-known manufacturers first solves the problem of import substitution, and secondly is cost-effective, as the estimated cost of the developed preamplifier will be nearly five times cheaper than foreign counterparts.
