The effect of crude fungal extract and purified cytokinin fractions on the growth of tumor cells of different degrees of malignancy in in vitro culture was analyzed. There was a slight cytotoxic effect of both crude extracts and cytokinin fractions of L. edodes and G. lucidum on human colon adenocarcinoma cells (Colo 205), increased adhesion of human cervical cancer cells (Hela) to the substrate of substrate by the cytokinin fraction Ganoderma lucidum and change of morphological parameters of human hepatocellular carcinoma cells (HepG2) under the action of crude extracts of both studied strains of fungi. These results support the assumption that the composition of biologically active substances of medicinal fungi with high pharmacological potential includes cytokinins.
