All subjects were divided into 3 groups: Group I - 94 IDR without mental symptoms, Group II - 68 people with separate mental symptoms, did not reach the clinical level and Group III - 108 people had mental disorders and needed the psychiatric help. The aim of the study was to investigate the existing mental disorders in IDP, to determine the features of the clinical picture of mental disorders, to work out the methods of pharmaco- and psychotherapy, psycho-education and prevention of psychopathology in IDP. The methodology specific of the study was the combination of clinical-psychopathological and pathopsychological investigation methods of the mental health in IDP, to identify pre-clinical disorders of the mental state and various forms of mental pathology, the causes of their formation in IDP. The results of the research work made it possible to identify the features of the factors of mental traumatization and their dynamics during thе time, the factors that contribute to and prevent adaptation in a changed situation, clinical and psycho-pathological features of mental disorders internally displaced persons and to work out the methods of therapy, psycho-education and psycho-prophylactic.
