The aim of the work is to study the influence of OIEMP on the stress-strain state of annular welded joints of aluminum alloy AMg6. An original experimental method for studying the kinetics of the force P of electrodynamic pressure at OIEMP of metallic materials has been developed. Flat disks with a diameter of 90 mm and a thickness of δ = 1.0 mm were used for research. The annular welded joint was simulated by surfacing of "blank" rollers along the line of a circle with a diameter of 45 mm with registration of the stress state of the disks and movements of their edges before and after OIEMP. We performed two processing options: the first option - OIEMP disks δ = 1.0 mm, the second - OIEMP disks δ = 1.0 mm with an additional screen made of alloy AMg6 δ = 5.0 mm. It is shown that as a result of OIEMP in the same mode of samples δ = 1.0 mm and δ = 1.0 mm + screen, the value of P increased with the use of the screen, which increase is due to an increase in the active volume of the conductive medium. It has been established that the use of a shield in OIEMP helps to reduce the level of residual tensile welding stresses and increase the accuracy of annular welded joints. On the basis of OIEMP, effective methods can be developed to optimize the stress-strain state of aluminum alloy products in order to extend their life for use in aircraft, shipbuilding and other industries. Experiments were performed to establish the effect of pulsed electric current treatment of test specimens on local stress relaxation in samples of AMg6 and steel St3.
