The subject of research is the mechanism of development of the energy service market in the context of increasing the energy efficiency of the national economy, the level of energy and environmental security of Ukraine. The purpose of the project is to develop a modern mechanism and proposals for the development of the energy service market in the context of improving the energy efficiency of the national economy, the level of energy and environmental security of Ukraine. Research methods - historical and logical; factor analysis; scientific knowledge; induction, deduction, comparison, systematization; analysis and synthesis; dialectical method; structural and dynamic analysis. The scientific novelty of the results of the 1st stage of the study is to deepen the theoretical and methodological foundations of the mechanism of development of the energy service market. For the first time, a conceptual model of energy service market development was proposed; model of interaction of energy service market entities in a virtual environment. Improved: scientific and theoretical approaches to improving the energy efficiency of the national economy, the level of energy and environmental security of Ukraine; theoretical and organizational approaches to the management system of innovative development of the energy service company; tools to increase the institutional capacity of energy service companies. Further developed: defining the essence, content of the main categories and components of the functioning of the energy service market; scientific and methodological approaches to the formation of the institutional and economic environment of the energy service market; dominants of interaction of market mechanisms and regulatory policy in the energy service market in the context of the optimal choice between regulation and competition.
